Sydney Opera House - Apple 50th Bday
'Chaotic Duality' was projected on the Benelong sale of the Sydney Opera House. Commissioned by Apple as part of their 50 year celebrations.
Sydney is a unique place. It’s a big city, but it also feels like a National Park. This mix is beautiful, chaotic and peaceful, much like the Opera House. I’ve always been inspired by the colours, rawness and energy of this part of Australia’s coastline. Here, I wanted to capture and celebrate all these elements, while drawing from my usual hi-vis colour palette. A large blue squiggle sits in the middle of the art, this is my abstract representation of the famous sales. I first drew this around a decade ago when I was an in-house designer at the Sydney Opera House, it meant nothing at the time, a random squiggle on a page, but now, in this context brings a lot more meaning. I hope the energy and movement of this work captures the energy of the city that surrounds it.
