OUTERNET LONDON

FROM JUNE 13

'Like Nature, We Persist' is a fully immersive installation by artist Kris Andrew Small, showing at Outernet this June & July
in the heart of central London.

The shows main theme explores the concept of empathy towards other humans instead of fear and bias, and attempts to remind us of our deep connection with nature — how it influences all aspects of life and holds answers we have neglected in our modern world. This work aims to harness the energy of the earth and the chaos

of life, presenting it in a positive, meditative way.

The show is part of London Pride and is a celebration of queerness — a reminder that we are not a segregated community, but a united group of humans trying to navigate the planet with humanity and dignity, while simply attempting to live our lives equally and fairly. However, the work aspires to live beyond Pride, representing not only the queer community but also the broader progression of humanity.

The piece takes viewers on a trans formative journey—both visually and emotionally. The first part invites calm and introspection, offering a meditative entry point into the experience. This serenity is soon disrupted by the intensity of part two, which mirrors the chaos and volatility of the world around us. In part three, nature emerges as a guiding force—an attempt to find harmony and structure within the disorder. Finally, the work culminates in part four: a powerful call
to action, urging humanity to reconnect, re imagine, and rise above.
